Coria Lodge is one of nine lodges here in Ebchester, County Durham. It's right by the Derwent Walk, a converted railway line that's good for walking and cycling. The lodge itself is single-storey, which makes it straightforward to get about inside.
It sleeps six in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. The living area is open plan with a wood burner. The kitchen has the usual things: dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer. It's a detached lodge, so you get your own space, and there's a private garden with a hot tub.
The main thing about this lodge is it's adapted for wheelchair users. There's a ramp up to it, wider doorways, and sockets are raised up. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower you can get a wheelchair into, and there's a hoist facility. It's all on the ground floor.
You can bring two dogs. Bedding and towels are included, and we can provide a cot and highchair.
You're about half a mile from Ebchester village. There's a shop, a pub that does food, and a couple of restaurants you can walk to. Fishing is available on the river here, a short walk away, for a small fee.
For days out, Durham city is about half an hour's drive, it's a UNESCO site and the cathedral is worth seeing. You're on the edge of the North Pennines, so the countryside is good for walking. The nearest beach is at Tynemouth, which is about 45 minutes away.
