Chestnut Cottage

Chestnut Cottage is in Iveston, which is near Lanchester. It's a small detached cottage. It sleeps two people in one bedroom. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating.

The main room is open plan. There's a kitchen area, a table, and a sofa. You've got your own garden with a patio. It's quiet and looks out over fields. There's parking right next to the cottage.

The cottage is detached but it's close to our house. You'll see us coming and going sometimes. We're around if you need anything.

You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's Wi-Fi and a TV.

Lanchester village is about a mile and a half away. It's got a big green, a few shops, and three pubs. There's a children's play park there too. The nearest restaurant is about half a mile up the road.

Durham city is about ten miles away. That's where the cathedral and castle are. You can walk along the river there. Consett is three miles away for bigger supermarkets.

If you like walking or cycling, there are paths nearby. The Derwent Valley Railway Path goes east towards Durham or west towards Weardale. The section near the river Browney is nice.

For a day out, Corbridge is about fifteen miles. Hadrian's Wall is a bit further from there. You can visit the Roman forts. Alnwick Castle and its gardens are about an hour's drive north. The Northumberland coast, like Bamburgh, is a bit further again.
