Two The Old Stables East Butsfield

This is Two The Old Stables. It's one of three cottages next to our house in a small place called Knitsley, near Consett. It's quiet here. You look out over fields.

The cottage sleeps four, in two double bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's all on the ground floor, so no stairs to worry about. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable. We leave you a welcome pack with some things from the local farm shop.

There's a shop and a pub about half a mile away. The pub does food. If you have a horse, you can bring it too, as we have a paddock and stables. You'd need to arrange that with us before you come.

For walking or cycling, you can get straight onto the paths from here. They go into the Durham Dales. The cathedral city of Durham is about 10 miles away. It's good for a day out.Visit County Durham has more on that. Beamish Museum is also about 10 miles away. Newcastle is less than 20 miles if you fancy a night out.

Further afield, within about a 30 minute drive, you've got places like Barnard Castle, Raby Castle, and High Force waterfall in Teesdale.

What's here: a patio garden with a BBQ, parking, bike storage, WiFi, a TV, washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
