One The Old Stables is a holiday cottage in a little place called Knitsley, about ten miles west of Durham.
It sleeps four people and is all on one level, which makes it straightforward. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well looked after and comfortable, but it's not a show home.
You're welcome to bring up to two dogs. There's a garden that's just for you to use. We've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, and parking right outside.
About half a mile down the lane there's a shop and a pub that does food. It's a quiet spot. You'll get views over the fields from the living room.
Durham is about a twenty minute drive. The cathedral and castle there are worth a visit. The English Heritage page for Durham Castle has the details.
We're on the edge of the Durham Dales, so it's good walking country straight from the door. For a proper day out, Beamish Museum is about ten miles away. Newcastle city centre is under an hour's drive.
If you're coming with a horse, just ask. We have a paddock and stables here.
