Manor Park Cottage

Manor Park Cottage is in West Buttsfield. It's a semi-detached bungalow next to a small caravan park, on our grounds. It's quiet here, just fields around.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed, the other has twins. There are two shower rooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on one level, so no stairs.

The living room has a wood burner, which is good for colder evenings. There's a Smart TV. The wi-fi comes from a 4G router because of where we are, so it can be a bit slow sometimes. Just so you know.

You've got a lawned area out the front. The kitchen has what you need, and there's a utility room with a Belfast sink. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. You can bring one dog.

The nearest shop and pub are about four miles away, in Consett. Consett has supermarkets, cafes, and a sports centre with a swimming pool. The village of Lanchester is five miles away and has a few places to eat, pubs and restaurants.

If you like walking or cycling, it's good here. There are footpaths right from the door, and you can pick up the C2C cycle route nearby. For a longer drive, Teesdale and Weardale are about half an hour away and very nice countryside. Durham city is about 13 miles, so less than half an hour. The cathedral is the main thing there.

Further out, you can get to Hadrian's Wall in about an hour, or the Beamish Museum is a bit closer. Newcastle and the Metrocentre are within easy reach for a day out shopping.
