Three The Old Stables
This is Three The Old Stables. It's one of three cottages here, next to our house in East Butsfield. It's a quiet spot, just a few houses really. You get views over the fields.
It sleeps four. It's all on one level, so no stairs to worry about. There's one double bedroom and then the sofa in the living area converts into another double bed. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 5 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable.
The place is yours while you're here. There's a patio area with a table and chairs, and a shared, enclosed garden beyond that. It's a good spot to sit out.
We leave a welcome pack for you with some bits from the local farm shop.
You can bring up to two dogs. We can sometimes take horses too, if you ask us ahead of time, as we've got stables and a paddock.
There's a pub about half a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is about the same.
You're right on the edge of the Durham Dales here. There are paths directly from the door for walking or cycling. Durham city is about ten miles away. It's good for a day out, especially the cathedral and castle. Newcastle is under twenty miles if you fancy the city.
Within about half an hour you can get to Beamish Museum, which is excellent. Barnard Castle, Raby Castle, and the Metro Centre shopping are all in that range too.
For facilities: there's parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
