Wynbec Cottage

Wynbec Cottage is in Quebec, County Durham. It's a terraced house. We finished restoring it in 2021.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One is an en-suite off the main bedroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means the standard of finish is high. Everything is new and works as it should.

The kitchen is at the back, with big doors that open onto a private, enclosed patio. There's a table for six and an island with stools. It's all very spacious. You get a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking at the front, and an electric vehicle charger.

The village is quiet. There's a tea room right opposite. They do breakfast and afternoon tea. A few good pubs are about a mile away. Lanchester village is close, it has shops and more places to eat.

For walking, there are footpaths straight from the village into the countryside. Durham city centre is about a 20-minute drive. You can see the cathedral and castle, or walk by the river. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For a big day out, Beamish Museum is about half an hour away.

Within a 30-minute drive you can get to Bishop Auckland for the Kynren show, or to Gateshead to see the Angel of the North. Newcastle city centre and the Metro Centre are also within that half hour.

You can bring up to two well-behaved dogs. All bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
