Wynbec Cottage is in Quebec, near Lanchester in County Durham. It's a three-bedroom end terrace. Sleeps six, two bathrooms. The garden is yours to use and it's fenced in. There's off-road parking and an electric car charger.
It was all done up a few years ago. It's comfortable, not showy. The kitchen is big with an island and bifold doors out to the garden. The main bedroom has its own shower room.
The stairs are a standard steepness. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Pets are welcome, we ask for a maximum of two.
The village is quiet. There's a tearoom opposite that does breakfast and lunch. A couple of decent pubs are within a mile or so for a meal. Lanchester has shops and more places to eat.
You can walk straight out from the cottage into the fields. Durham city is about ten minutes by car. You've got the Cathedral and Castle, walks by the river. The Durham Cathedral and Durham World Heritage Site websites have visitor information.
Within half an hour you can get to Beamish Museum, which is a good day out. Bishop Auckland has the Auckland Castle project and the Kynren show in summer. Newcastle and the Metro Centre are about 25 minutes away for a city day or shopping.
The coast, like Seaham, is about 45 minutes to an hour's drive. Useful links for the area are the Visit County Durham site and the North Pennines page for walks.
