Jasmine Cottage
Jasmine Cottage is a bungalow on our property in Rowley. It's all on one level, which is good for a lot of people. The main room is open plan, so it feels spacious. The best bit is the view out over the fields from the windows. We've got horses and sheep out there.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, so each bedroom has its own. It's got a 4 Star rating. I wouldn't call it luxury, but it's comfortable and everything works.
You can bring one dog. We've got our own pets here, a dog and two cats, so yours needs to get on with others.
The nearest proper village is Lanchester, about four miles away. It's got a few pubs and places to eat. Consett is three miles for supermarkets. Durham city is eleven miles, which is handy if you want the shops or the cathedral.
If you like walking or cycling, you're in the right spot. There are footpaths from the door. The C2C cycle route is very close. We've put a bike shelter round the back with a lock bar. Teesdale and Weardale are about half an hour's drive for more dramatic scenery. Hadrian's Wall is about an hour away.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. The garden is enclosed. There's parking right outside. It's wheelchair friendly, with grab rails and level access.
