The Cottage At Wood House
The Cottage is at the back of the main house, Wood House. It's in a courtyard next to The Old Stables. It's for two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. Inside, it's all open plan: living area, dining, and kitchen. There's a gas fire. The bedroom is up four small steps. It has an en-suite shower room.
You're welcome to use the full-size tennis court just behind the cottage. The grounds are big, with fields around.
Snods Edge is quiet, out in the country. The nearest shop is about five miles away. There's a pub and restaurant a mile and a half away.
Corbridge, the Roman town, is close by. It's good for a wander, coffee, and a walk by the river. Hadrian's Wall is right there for history. A few miles away there's the Terris Novalis sculpture at the old steelworks site. Consett has some good walking routes, and the C2C cycle route goes through here.
You can drive to Durham in about 20 minutes and Newcastle in about 30.
Facilities include a dishwasher, TV, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
