Fox Lodge At Wood Housse
Fox Lodge is a wooden chalet, detached, on our land near Snods Edge. It's for two people. The space is all open plan: bed, kitchen, sitting area, all in one room. There's a bathroom with a shower.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The bed is up in a mezzanine area, you get to it via a ladder. It's fixed and sturdy, but it's still a ladder, so you need to be okay with that.
Outside, there's a deck with a wood-fired hot tub and a fire pit. The view is over fields. You can see for miles.
The property is in the countryside. The nearest pub that does food is about a mile and a half away. The nearest shop is in Stocksfield, about five miles.
You're welcome to use the full-size tennis court we have on the grounds if you fancy a game.
We allow one dog. There's parking right by the lodge.
For things to do: Corbridge is close. It's a nice little town with Roman history, shops and a walk by the river. The Hadrian's Wall sites are all around. Derwent Reservoir is good for walking. You can drive into Northumberland National Park quite easily from here.
Durham is about 20 minutes in the car. Newcastle city centre is about half an hour.
