This is Fox Lodge at Wood House. It's near Snods Edge in Northumberland. It's a detached wooden lodge.
It's for two people. There's one main room with everything in it, living, kitchen, bed. The bathroom is separate. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and in good order.
Large doors open onto a deck. There's a fire pit and a wood-fired hot tub out there. The view is over fields. You're welcome to use the full-size tennis court on the grounds too.
The place is basic but tidy. You get WiFi, a Smart TV, parking, and all your bedding and towels. It's all electric.
You can bring one dog. There's a pub and restaurant about a mile and a half away. The nearest shop is five miles, so you'll want to bring things with you.
For things to do, you're in walking country. The Derwent Reservoir is close by for a walk. The Pennines are right there. Corbridge, which is a Roman town, is about 20 minutes by car. It's nice for a wander, coffee, and there's a river walk. You can get to Hadrian's Wall from there too.
Durham city is about 20 minutes drive. Newcastle city centre is about half an hour. If you're a cyclist, the Coast-to-Coast route goes nearby.
