Methodist Cottage

Methodist Cottage is in Tantobie, County Durham. It's a detached house that used to be a barn, we think from the 1600s. It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well equipped. The walls are thick stone, so it's quiet inside. You look out over fields from the back.

The cottage is part of a pair. There's a similar one next door, but they're separate. You have your own garden and parking.

There's a local shop about five minutes walk away. The pub is a bit further, maybe ten minutes. Both are fine.

For things to do, you can walk straight from the door. There are a lot of public footpaths and cycle tracks around here. Beamish Museum is very close, maybe fifteen minutes by car. It's a good day out, especially with kids. Durham city is about half an hour away. The cathedral is worth seeing.

If you drive for an hour or so, you can get to the coast in Northumberland, or up into the North Pennines. Raby Castle is nearby too, with its deer park.

Inside, there's a washing machine, a TV, and a cot if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. The parking is on site. No pets, sorry.
