Haven In The Burn is in Blaydon Burn. It's a detached cabin in the woods, so it's quiet. You get a deck with a hot tub that looks out over the trees. The garden is big and grassy and catches the sun.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is about right. It's clean and comfortable. There's a full-size pool table and a TV.
The place is surrounded by woods. Blaydon Burn itself is over 200 acres of woodland. The Derwent Walk Country Park is right nearby for walking or cycling. The Coast-to-Coast cycle path runs through it.
Newcastle city centre is about six miles away. That's where you'll find the restaurants, the Theatre Royal, and the rest of it. The MetroCentre shopping mall is five miles away.
For the coast, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay are about a half hour drive. They have long promenades and beaches.
You're well placed for day trips. Beamish Museum is about a 20 minute drive. Getting to bits of Hadrian's Wall or the Northumberland coast takes around 45 minutes.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a dishwasher, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a cot if you need them. No pets allowed.
