Isabella Cottage is on the edge of Ryton. It's in a row of old miners' cottages from 1889, which is where the name comes from. We're next door.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxury. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you've got dogs or kids. There's parking right outside.
The back looks out over our fields. The front is just off the lane. It's very quiet here. The Tyne Riverside Country Park is literally across the road. You can walk for miles along the river from the door. Good for cycling too.
There's a pub and a restaurant about half a mile down the lane. Decent food. The nearest shop is a mile away in the village.
For days out, you're well placed. It's about a 20 minute drive into Newcastle for the city stuff. Heading the other way, you can be on Hadrian's Wall in under half an hour. The coast, like Tynemouth or Whitley Bay, is about 25 minutes away. Northumberland National Park is maybe 40 minutes if the traffic's light.
Inside, it's got what you need. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
If you're planning trips, the National Trust and Northumberland National Park sites are useful.
