Plover Cottage Settlingstones

Plover Cottage is a bungalow in Settlingstones, Northumberland. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's been modernised to a good standard. It's part of a group of three cottages on the same site, but you've got your own garden.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. One bathroom with a shower. The living area is open plan with the kitchen. It's all on one level, so no stairs.

The owners live on site too, so if you need anything or have a problem, they're right there.

You're about four miles from Hexham. Haydon Bridge village is closer, maybe ten minutes away. It's got a couple of pubs and a shop. The South Tyne River runs through it if you fancy a walk.

The main reason to be here is the history and the landscape. Hadrian's Wall is right on your doorstep. You can be at one of the Roman forts in about fifteen minutes. The Northumberland National Park starts just to the north. It's good walking country and it's a Dark Sky Park, so the stars at night are something else.

Further afield, you've got all the big castles. Alnwick, Bamburgh, and Warkworth are all within an hour's drive, maybe a bit more for the last two. The coast at Seahouses is about an hour away.

In the cottage you've got a dishwasher, WiFi, a TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ in the shared garden area you can use.
