Contention Barn

Contention Barn is a converted barn near Penhallow. It's detached, so no neighbours attached. Sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable.

The main room is open plan, living, kitchen and dining all in one space. Big windows look out onto the garden. It's an enclosed garden, so it's secure for a dog.

You're about two miles from Perranporth beach. Good for surfing. The beach is big and sandy. The town there has shops and cafes.

A local pub is a five minute drive away. They do food. Truro is about a twenty minute drive, Newquay about fifteen. Both have supermarkets and shops.

If you like walking, you can start from the door. There are coastal paths and inland routes. For organised trips, the National Trust has several properties nearby and the Cornwall Council Great Estates page lists other historic gardens and houses within half an hour.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, bedding and towels are included. On-site parking for one car. One well-behaved dog is welcome, no extra charge. No children, really, because it's just the one bedroom. The property isn't suitable for electric wheelchairs or scooters.
