Lilac Cottage
Lilac Cottage is in Redmire, a small village in Wensleydale. It's one of a little group of stone cottages set back from the road. It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms which helps.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well kept. It's bright and the rooms are a good size. The log burner in the living room does throw out a good heat. The garden is enclosed. It's got a nice mix of lawn and a patio with some shrubs.
There's a garage here which you can use if you've brought bikes. We ask that cars stay on the drive.
You can bring one dog. The garden is fully enclosed, but always check the gates. We provide bedding and towels.
Redmire is quiet. There's a pub in the village that does food. For a bigger shop, Leyburn is about three miles away. It's a proper market town with a square.
For walking, you can just step out the door onto the Dales footpaths. Bolton Castle is a short drive away. The Wensleydale Railway runs through here too. For a longer drive, you can get to Hawes, or up onto the high moors, in under half an hour. The coast at Whitby is about an hour and a half.
