The Old Goat House
It's called The Old Goat House. It's in Thornton Rust, which is a very small village in Wensleydale. The cottage is next to our house, but you have your own space and we're not in the way.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms. That's unusual. One of the bedrooms is across the courtyard in its own little building. It has its own wet room. It's good if someone in your group wants a bit of separation, or just doesn't want to share a bathroom.
The main building is a stone barn we converted. It's open plan downstairs. There's a wood burner, which we supply some logs for. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well equipped, not just basic.
You can walk straight from the door. The lane goes up onto the moor. Aysgarth Falls is about two miles away by car. It's a good spot. Yorkshire Dales National Park has all the walking routes.
Hawes is a 15 minute drive. It has the Wensleydale Creamery. Leyburn is about 20 minutes the other way. Hardraw Force, the waterfall you can walk behind, is near Hawes. Lake Semerwater is also close.
The facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger. We can provide a cot, highchair and stairgate. You can bring up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
The nearest shop and pub are in Aysgarth, two miles down the road. All the big supermarkets will deliver your shopping here.
