The Old Goat House
The Old Goat House is in Thornton Rust, a small village in Wensleydale. It's next to our house, but you have your own space. It's a converted stone barn.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and, usefully, three bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is separate, across the courtyard. It has its own wet room. It's good if someone in your group wants a bit of quiet or independence.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door. The scenery is good. Aysgarth Falls and Lake Semerwater are a few minutes' drive away. Hawes and Leyburn are market towns about fifteen minutes drive for shops and cafes. Hardraw Force waterfall is worth seeing.
The nearest shop and pub are a couple of miles away in Aysgarth. All the big supermarkets deliver here, which most people use.
Inside, it's open plan with a woodburning stove. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and WiFi. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. There's parking and an electric vehicle charger. You can bring two dogs.
