This is Carriage House in West Burton. It's one of four cottages in the grounds here. The main thing is the gardens. They’re large, with a couple of ponds, a small waterfall, and the river runs along the edge. You’ve got private fishing if that’s your thing.
It sleeps six, which is in two bedrooms. That’s one double and one with bunk beds. There’s one bathroom. It’s got a 3 Star rating. That means it’s comfortable and clean. It’s wheelchair accessible at the entrance.
The village is quiet because there’s no through traffic. There’s a big green with a market cross, and the waterfall, Burton Force, is right there. You’ve got a village shop and a pub that does food about five minutes walk away. They’re both fine.
For getting out, it's straightforward. You can walk straight from the door onto the moors. Hawes and Leyburn are about ten miles. Hawes has the Wensleydale Creamery and Leyburn is a market town. Bolton Castle is nearby. If you want a strange day out, The Forbidden Corner is close. It’s a peculiar garden maze with tunnels and statues. You need to book.
Inside, it's got what you need: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and there's a BBQ outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking here.
