West Burn Cottage is at the end of a row of converted barns in Newbiggin. It's quiet here. You look out over fields.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a big bed, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and the things work.
The main room is upstairs. You get the views from there. The stairs are the original ones, so they're steep and a bit winding. The kitchen is downstairs, along with the shower room and a useful boot room for muddy boots.
There's a pub about 300 yards down the lane. They do food and local beers. The village shop is about two miles away in West Burton. For a bigger shop, Hawes is a ten minute drive. Leyburn is about fifteen minutes.
You can walk straight from the door. The Dales are right there. For a specific walk, the Yorkshire Dales National Park site has good maps. The market town of Hawes has the Wensleydale Creamery if you like cheese.
In terms of things to see, Aysgarth Falls are about ten minutes by car. Bolton Castle is near Leyburn. For a long day out, you can get to the edge of the Lake District in about an hour and a half.
The cottage has a wood burner, wifi, and a small enclosed gravel yard out the back. It gets the sun. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
