Stable Cottage is in Askrigg, in Wensleydale. It's an end-of-terrace stone cottage built into the hillside, so it's on a couple of levels. The back garden is lawned and fully enclosed, with a picnic table.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs inside are quite steep, as you'd expect. There's a wood burner in the main living room.
You're just off the main street. The village shop is two minutes walk, and it's well-stocked. There are three pubs in the village, all serving food. A good coffee shop is right next door.
You can walk from the door straight out onto the fells. The Askrigg waterfalls walk to Mill Gill Force is lovely. For a longer drive, the start of the Yorkshire Three Peaks walk at Horton-in-Ribblesdale is about 40 minutes away.
Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle are nearby. Hawes has the Wensleydale Creamery. The Forbidden Corner in Middleham is about a 20-minute drive and is popular with families. Richmond is roughly half an hour away.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them.
