Ghyll View Gunnerside

This is Ghyll View, in Gunnerside. It's right in the heart of Swaledale, so you're surrounded by the Dales straight away.

The cottage was done up a few years ago. It's comfortable. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. The main bathroom is upstairs, in the loft space. It's a big room with a freestanding bath and a double shower. Some people find the stairs up to it a bit steep.

You've got good wifi, a Smart TV, and one of those coffee pod machines. The kitchen has a Rangemaster. There's underfloor heating in the twin bedroom's bathroom.

Outside, there's a south-facing garden with a patio. You can park on site. There's an electric car charger if you need one, and a garage for storing bikes.

The village pub is about a hundred yards away. They do food. Reeth is a short drive for more shops and places to eat. For a bigger town, Richmond is about a twenty minute drive. The castle is worth seeing. They have a market on Saturdays.

You can walk straight from the door. Gunnerside Gill is right there. For cycling, you're on the Swale Trail. The Dales Bike Centre in Grinton isn't far for repairs or hire.

If you want to explore, Aysgarth Falls and Hawes are over in Wensleydale, maybe half an hour by car. The Yorkshire Dales National Park site has good information for planning walks. The English Heritage page for Richmond Castle is useful too.
