3 Winville Mews
I've got a cottage in Askrigg. It's called 3 Winville Mews. It's a mews house off the main street, so it's quiet but you're basically in the village centre. You're a minute's walk from the pubs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both upstairs, and two bathrooms which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up well, it's comfortable and clean. The stairs are typical for this sort of place.
There's a multi-fuel stove in the living room. The kitchen has what you need. Outside there's a small paved patio with a table and chairs, and a parking space. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
You can bring two dogs. Bedding and towels are included.
Askrigg has a good village shop and a deli. There are three pubs, all within a few hundred yards. They do food and local beer.
The walking from the door is the main thing. You can follow the river or do the Askrigg waterfalls walk to Mill Gill Force. For a bigger climb, Addleborough is right across the dale. For more organised walks, the Yorkshire Dales National Park site is useful.
Hawes and Leyburn are both about a 15 minute drive. Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle are close by. The Forbidden Corner near Middleham is about half an hour away, it's a strange garden attraction that kids tend to like. Richmond is about 30 minutes east, it's got a castle and a good Georgian theatre.
