Dyke Heads Stable is about half a mile up the hill from Gunnerside village. It's an end-terrace cottage, which was a stable once. The views across the valley are very good. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-kept.
It's for two people. One bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, both on the ground floor. The living area is upstairs. You can get to it from inside via a narrow staircase, or from outside using the stone steps at the back. That's quite handy if you've been out walking and don't want to traipse through.
The stairs inside are narrow, as you'd expect. They're shown in the photos.
You're right in Swaledale, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. You can start a walk from the door. The local pub is half a mile down in the village. The nearest shop is in Reeth, about three miles away.
Hawes, Leyburn, Reeth and Richmond are all market towns you can drive to. Hawes has the Wensleydale creamery. Richmond has the castle. For a longer trip, you can be in the Lake District in under two hours.
It has parking. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's a TV. The electricity is included in the price.
Useful links for planning: Welcome to Yorkshire and North York Moors National Park, which is the next park over.
