Birkend Farmhouse is up in Crackpot, high on the side of Swaledale. It's a detached stone house. The main thing is the view. You look right out across the valley. It's quiet.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a woodburner in the living room. The ceilings are low and beamed in places, so you might need to watch your head.
Outside, there's a garden with a patio and a deck, all facing the view. There's also a summerhouse down in the wildflower meadow.
You’re about a ten minute drive from Reeth. It’s a proper Dales village with a couple of pubs that do food, a shop, a bakery, that sort of thing. You can walk from the door onto the footpaths. For a bigger town, Richmond is about twenty minutes away by car. It’s got a castle and a market square. Hawes and Leyburn, over in Wensleydale, are also within half an hour.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
