Lawson's Studio

Lawson's Studio is in Castle Bolton village. It’s a converted artist's studio, so it's a fairly small, open-plan space for two people. It's one bed, one bathroom.

The building faces south, which means it gets good light, and the windows look out over the fields and fells. One window has a direct view of Bolton Castle, which is a nice thing to have with your morning coffee.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it’s well-equipped. There’s a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. There's a small private garden area too.

You can bring one well-behaved dog. It’s listed as a 'Luxury Property', which I’d say means the fixtures and fittings are newer and of a good standard.

The village is very quiet. The nearest pub and restaurant is about a mile away in Redmire. The local shop is in Carperby, which is a bit over a mile in the other direction.

You're right in the middle of Wensleydale here. For walks, you can start from the door. Bolton Castle itself is a five-minute walk. The North York Moors and The Yorkshire Dales National Park are both on your doorstep. Hawes, with the Wensleydale Creamery, is about a 15-minute drive. Leyburn is about a 10-minute drive the other way.
