Griff Head Cottage
This is Griff Head Cottage, up in Melmerby. It's one of two cottages together, but you have your own space. The back faces straight onto Melmerby Moor, so the view out the back is just open fields and hills. No neighbours behind you.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms which is handy. It's a 4 Star place. It's been done up, so it's comfortable and works well. You get your own garden bit and a south-facing patio. Good for a morning cup of tea.
You're right in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The front looks over Coverdale. It's quiet. You can walk straight from the door onto the moor or into the dale. For a shop or a proper look around, Leyburn is about five miles. It's a market town with what you need.
The other cottage, Town Head, is next door. They can be opened up into one big place if you're a larger group, but they're separate otherwise.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Everything else is as you'd expect: TV, wifi, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
If you're planning trips, the National Trust has a few places nearby like Brimham Rocks. For walking routes and maps, the National Park site is the best place to look.
