Stable Cottage is in East Witton, right next to our farm. It's just the one place, not attached to anything else. It used to be a stable, so it's stone-built with the original beams. Sleeps two.
It's a 4 Star place, which is comfortable and well looked after. The layout is upside down. The bedroom is on the ground floor, with a kingsize bed. The shower room is there too, it's a wet room style with underfloor heating. The stairs go up to the kitchen and living room. The stairs are fine, just normal cottage stairs.
Outside, there's a small patio area with a table and chairs. You can park right next to it.
The village has a good pub, about half a mile walk. It does food. The nearest shop is about the same distance in Middleham. Middleham has a few pubs, a castle, and a decent corner shop.
You're right in the Yorkshire Dales here. You can walk straight out from the door. Leyburn is a few miles one way for a market town, and Masham is a few miles the other – that's where the breweries are. For a proper day out, Jervaulx Abbey is nearby and The Forbidden Corner is popular, it's a unusual garden with follies and tunnels.
On the facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and we include all bedding and towels. There's bike storage if you need it. The entrance and shower room are wheelchair accessible. No pets, sorry. It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and tractors about.
