Stable Cottage
Stable Cottage is just outside the village of East Witton. It's next to the farmyard, so you'll see the farm activity. The cottage is stone-built and used to be a stable, which is where the name comes from.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
The layout is upside down. The bedroom is on the ground floor. You go upstairs to the kitchen and living area. The stairs are a standard cottage staircase. There's underfloor heating in the entrance hall and the shower room.
The village pub is about half a mile up the road. It's good and does food. The nearest shop is about the same distance in Middleham. Middleham has a castle, a few pubs, and a shop.
You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Walking and cycling routes start from the door. Leyburn is a few miles away, Hawes and Masham are a short drive. Jervaulx Abbey is nearby, which is ruins you can walk around. The Forbidden Corner, which is a peculiar walled garden full of follies, is about a ten minute drive.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, TV, and towels and bedding are included. There's a patio and garden for you. Parking is right outside. It's wheelchair accessible to the entrance and the ground floor bedroom. Being a farm, it's not always completely quiet, but it's a proper rural spot.
