Paddock House is on the edge of Middleham, just behind the main square. It's a detached stone bungalow, so it's all on one level. The garden is enclosed and it's a nice spot to sit. There's a paddock beyond it which you can also use, unless the farmer has his sheep in there.
It sleeps eight, in three bedrooms. Two of those beds are zip-and-link super kings, so they can be twins if you ask beforehand. There's also a sofa bed in one of the living rooms. You get two bathrooms and plenty of parking, including a double garage you can use for bikes or storage.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a big, practical space. Warm, clean, and there's room for everyone to spread out. There are two living rooms, which helps if you've got kids.
You're a couple of minutes' walk from the village square. There are a few pubs, some cafes, and a local shop. The horses from the racing stables get led right through the village most mornings, which is a nice thing to see.
Middleham Castle is just there in the village. It's an English Heritage site. For a bigger day out, Leyburn is about ten minutes away by car. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is all around you, obviously. The coast at Richmond is roughly half an hour.
Facilities: it's got the stuff you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, TV. Towels and bedding are included. It's toddler-friendly with a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
