The Barn
The Barn is in West Witton, in Wensleydale. It's a barn conversion, part of Oak Tree Farm. The farm itself is old, from 1812, but the Barn is modern inside.
It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. The rating is 5 Star, so everything is in good order. You can bring up to two dogs.
Inside, it's open plan. The kitchen has a big range cooker and a breakfast bar. The living area has a wood burner. It works well. The conservatory is a nice bright spot. Outside, there's a patio with a table and a BBQ, and the garden is enclosed. You look out over fields.
West Witton is small. There's a village shop and a tearoom. The local pub, The Wensleydale Heiffer, is about a five minute walk. It's a restaurant really, needs booking.
You can walk straight from the door into the dale. For driving, Aysgarth Falls is about ten minutes away. Hawes is twenty minutes. That's where the Wensleydale Creamery is. Middleham, with the castle and the racehorse gallops, is maybe fifteen minutes in the other direction. Leyburn, a proper market town, is about twenty minutes. Market day is Friday.
For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you need it. The place is booked as luxury, so it's all meant to be straightforward and good quality.
