The place is called Clarksville. It's a terraced house right in the middle of Leyburn. It's stone-built and Georgian, so the ceilings are high but the stairs are a bit steep, like you'd expect.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a three star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxury. You can bring one dog.
The back garden is enclosed, which is good if you have a dog or kids. It's a quiet spot. You're a minute's walk from the main street, so you can pop out for a paper or a pint easily.
Leyburn has a few shops, cafes, and a weekly market. It’s a good base for walking. You can pick up footpaths from the town straight into the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
For a good day out, Aysgarth Falls are about ten minutes' drive. Hardraw Force, which is a tall waterfall, is a bit further, maybe twenty-five minutes. Middleham, with the castle, is just down the road.
The Wensleydale Railway runs from Leeming Bar to Redmire. It's a nice way to see the valley without driving. At Redmire you can walk up to Bolton Castle.
If you've got kids, the Forbidden Corner in Coverdale is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a sort of big garden puzzle with tunnels and follies. They usually need you to book ahead.
In the house you've got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and bike storage if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. The local pub is 100 yards away.
