This is Bank Side, in Leyburn. It's a semi-detached house right on the edge of the town centre. You can walk to everything in a few minutes, which is the main point of it. Park the car and forget about it.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is en-suite to the main bedroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well kitted out and clean.
Inside, it's straightforward. The living room is cosy with an electric stove. The kitchen is a decent size with a proper dining table. It has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Outside there's a courtyard garden at the back. It's enclosed. There's also a shed you can use for bikes.
The town has shops, a supermarket, a few pubs that do food, and a good weekly market on Fridays. Everything you need is within walking distance.
For walking, the Leyburn Shawl is right there. It's a good path with views over the valley. You can walk from there to Castle Bolton if you want a longer trek. Aysgarth Falls is about a ten minute drive away. It's a series of waterfalls on the River Ure. The Yorkshire Dales National Park site has walking routes. For a historic site, Middleham Castle is close by. It's a English Heritage property.
If you want a day out, Hawes is about twenty minutes up the road. It's where the Wensleydale cheese creamery is. Richmond is about fifteen minutes the other way. It's a proper market town with a Norman castle. The Forbidden Corner in Coverdale is a strange attraction with follies and tunnels. It's popular with families. You need to book in advance.
Facilities: it has WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels are included, and there's parking for two cars on the drive. The entrance is step-free. No pets, sorry.
