This is Sweet Pea Cottage, in Redmire. It's a terraced cottage, one in a row. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms upstairs – one double and one twin – and one bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic. There's a wood burner in the living room, which is cosy. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
The stairs inside are cottage stairs. They’re a bit steeper than modern ones, just so you know.
Outside, there's an enclosed patio area at the back with a table and chairs. The view looks across to Penhill. You can get to it from inside the cottage, or there's shared access past the neighbour's place.
Redmire itself is a small village in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There's a local pub. The shop is about five miles away in Leyburn. The Wensleydale Railway has a station here. They run diesel and sometimes steam trains to Leyburn.
For walking, you can do a circular route from here to Aysgarth Falls, passing Redmire Falls on the way. Aysgarth Falls is a good one. Bolton Castle is very close. Middleham Castle is a short drive. The Forbidden Corner, with its maze and tunnels, is nearby too.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. The entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the bathroom is upstairs and the stairs are as described, so it might not suit everyone.
