Stable Cottage
Stable Cottage is in West Burton. It's a two bedroom place that sleeps four. There's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star property, so it's comfortable and clean, not luxurious.
It's in the grounds of the main house. You get to use the big gardens. There are ponds, a waterfall, and the river runs through. The fishing is private, if that's your thing.
The village has a big green and a waterfall called Burton Force. There's no through traffic, so it's quiet. There's a shop and a pub that does food about five minutes walk away.
The stairs are fine. The doorways and one bathroom are on the ground floor, which might help if stairs are difficult. There's parking right outside.
For things to do, you can walk straight from the village onto the moors. Hawes and Leyburn are about a twenty minute drive. Hawes has the Wensleydale Creamery and Leyburn is a market town. Bolton Castle and the Black Sheep Brewery are close by too.
If you're driving further, The Forbidden Corner is about twenty five minutes away. Lightwater Valley is maybe half an hour. For walking information, the Yorkshire Dales National Park site is useful.
Inside, it's got a wood burning stove, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
