The Owlery is in Aysgarth. It's a barn that was converted, next to our house. It's for two people. It has a five star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.
It's one bedroom with the bathroom right next to it. The space is open plan downstairs. The stairs are proper wooden barn stairs, so they're a bit steep and narrow. You get the patio and the bit of garden to yourselves. It looks out over the paddock to the valley.
You're on a quiet lane but the village is just there. You can walk to the pub, the restaurant, and the little garage shop. The Aysgarth Falls are about a fifteen minute walk across the fields from the back. That path is part of the Coast to Coast walk.
For a day out, Hawes is about fifteen minutes by car. The Wensleydale Creamery is there. Leyburn is about the same distance the other way. Bolton Castle is near Leyburn. The Wensleydale Railway runs from Leeming Bar to Redmire.
It's good for walking straight from the door. The roads around here are popular with cyclists too.
Facilities: There's parking, WiFi, a TV, and all bedding and towels are included. The heating and electricity are covered. No pets.
