Hendricks Cottage is in West Witton. It's at the end of a terrace, so it's quiet. You get a courtyard garden out the back with a table and chairs, a barbecue, and a pizza oven that runs on wood.
It sleeps five, across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One has a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept. The stairs have a stairgate fitted, which is useful.
The village pub is about a hundred yards away. They do food. There's a shop about a minute-and-a-half walk further on.
You're right in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, so walking is the main thing. Straight from the door. Leyburn is four miles east. It's a market town with shops and cafes. For a proper day out, Hawes is about half an hour's drive. That's where the Wensleydale Creamery is.
Bolton Castle and Middleham Castle are both within ten or fifteen minutes by car if you like ruins. The Forbidden Corner, which is a strange garden with follies and tunnels, is about twenty minutes away. It needs booking.
Facilities: there's a woodburner, a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the driveway. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
