Starfall
Starfall is in Aysgarth, right by the river. It's a first-floor flat in the old mill building right next to the Upper Falls. The windows look straight out over the water.
It's for two people. One bedroom with a super kingsize bed, which can be two singles if you ask first. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's a 4 Star place. It's been done up nicely.
You get in via stone steps outside, then an internal staircase. So it's not suitable if stairs are a problem.
The view is the main thing. You're looking at the Aysgarth Falls from the living room. It's part of the Yore Mill gallery next door, so there are art courses sometimes. They also do stargazing stuff here if you're interested, because the night skies are very dark.
You're right on the spot for walks. You can walk to the falls, or up through Freeholders' Wood. Carperby and Aysgarth village are a short drive or a decent walk.
There are two pubs nearby, both do good food. For supplies, Leyburn has a great deli and the Wensleydale Creamery isn't far either.
In terms of things to do within about half an hour, you've got the Wensleydale Railway, Bolton Castle, and Hawes with the Dales Countryside Museum. Hardraw Force is a bit further on. The Yorkshire Dales National Park site has all the walking routes. English Heritage page for Bolton Castle is useful too.
Facilities: WiFi, parking on site, bedding and towels are included. It's all-electric. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
