Mystified Bungalow
Mystified Bungalow is in Newbiggin, near Leyburn. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's handy if stairs are a problem. You can park right outside.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One bedroom has a four-poster bed and looks straight out over the Dale. The views from the front and back are really good. Just open fields.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. The bedding and towels are included.
The garden has a patio with a BBQ. It's a quiet spot. You get a lot of birds coming to the garden, including two woodpeckers that visit regularly.
There's a pub about a mile and a half walk away. It's a proper old 17th-century place. They do food and local ales. It was the finish line for a stage of the Tour de France once. For shopping, you'll need to drive to Leyburn, which is about three miles.
You can walk or cycle straight from the door. The Dales are right there. For a day out, Aysgarth Falls is close by. The Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes is worth a trip if you like cheese. The Forbidden Corner is a strange sort of garden attraction that kids tend to love.
You can bring one dog. The owners can do a continental breakfast for you if you arrange it beforehand. You can have it inside or outside on the patio.
