East Lane Barn
East Lane Barn is a stone barn conversion in Newbiggin, up Bishopdale in Wensleydale. It's a proper Dales longhouse shape. The views across the valley are very good, just fields and hills.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one double and one with two singles. There's one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and has been done up, but it's not posh.
You come in through a back porch room. It's where you'd leave boots and coats. Then you're into the kitchen diner. The kitchen is new, shaker style. The table is by a big window looking out front. The living room is a good size. There are oak beams and a multi-fuel burner. You get a basket of logs.
Outside, there's a private patio with a bit of a raised rockery garden. It looks straight out onto fields.
The local pub is a short walk away. They do food and local ales. West Burton and Thoralby villages are close by for a shop or another drink. The market towns are Hawes and Leyburn. They're about a ten or fifteen minute drive. Hawes has the Wensleydale Creamery. Leyburn has a good market on Fridays.
You're in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. You can walk straight from the door. There are plenty of public footpaths. For a drive out, Aysgarth Falls are nearby. Or you can go up to the Buttertubs Pass.
The facilities are what you'd expect: wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine in the porch, parking for two cars. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
