East Lane Barn is in Newbiggin, in Bishopdale. It's a stone barn conversion, up a lane. You get a view over the fields from the front.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one shower room. It has a 4 Star rating. The stairs are the original ones, so they're steep and a bit narrow. You need to be careful on them.
The kitchen is new, a shaker style. There's a wood burner in the living room. We leave some logs for you to start with. The garden room at the back is good for boots.
There's a pub in the village, about five minutes' walk. They do food. West Burton and Thoralby are a short drive for another couple of pubs and a village shop. The proper market towns are Hawes and Leyburn. Hawes has the Wensleydale Creamery and Leyburn has a good market. Both are about fifteen minutes by car.
You can walk straight from the door. The footpaths are right there. For a drive, the Yorkshire Dales National Park website has maps. National Trust Yorkshire lists places like Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks, which are within half an hour.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine in the garden room, WiFi, and parking for two cars. We include bedding and towels. You can bring up to two dogs.
