Corner House is in Grinton. It's the double-fronted stone cottage right opposite the pub and the church. You can't miss it.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's got beams and period fireplaces, but it's not a museum piece. You've got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a multi-fuel stove. Bedding and towels are included.
The stairs are steep. They're typical cottage stairs. Just mind your head on the beams as well.
The garden at the front is enclosed. It's a nice spot to sit with a drink. There's a stream behind the house that runs down to the River Swale, about 200 yards away. Good for paddling.
The pub is about 50 yards away, opposite. It's an old coaching house. They do food and local ales. Reeth village is a walk away, maybe twenty minutes, with a green, cafes, and a few more pubs.
For walking, you're on a bit of the Coast to Coast path straight from the door. The Yorkshire Dales National Park site has maps and routes. Cyclists use the Dales Bike Centre, which is just up the road. They hire bikes and do good cake.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got Richmond for the castle and theatre, Aysgarth Falls, the Bowes Museum, and Hardraw Force. For wider planning, English Heritage and the National Trust have sites in the region.
You can bring one dog. There's space in the porch for boots and drying off. Parking is on the street outside.
