Harriet's Cottage is in Muker, up in Swaledale. It's a proper Dales stone cottage, tucked into the hillside. You get great views out over the fells from pretty much every window. It sleeps four, two bedrooms and one bathroom.
The kitchen and carpets were new in 2024. It's got a wood burning stove for the evenings. There's a small garden at the front with a bench to sit on and take in the view. The stairs are a typical cottage style, so fairly steep and narrow. There's parking right outside.
Muker is small and quiet. You can walk to everything. There's a good local pub that does food, a little shop for basics, and the famous Muker Wool Shop. If you're here to walk or cycle, you can start straight from the front door. The paths lead right out into Swaledale.
You're well placed for the other dales too. Hawes, with the Wensleydale Creamery, is about a 20 minute drive. Richmond is around 40 minutes. The Forbidden Corner is popular if you've got kids, that's just under half an hour away.
It's rated 4 Star. We include all bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a cot, and a highchair if you need them. Bicycle storage is available. No pets, I'm afraid.
