Lilac Cottage
Lilac Cottage is in Sedbusk. That's a small hamlet just outside Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales. It's an old stone cottage, one of two stuck together.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and clean, not modernised or luxurious. It's an old building, so the floors aren't level and things are a bit quirky. The stairs are steep, like most cottages round here.
The garden is enclosed and gets the sun. You sometimes see red squirrels out there. The views over the fields are good.
Hawes is about a mile and a half away. It's a proper market town. There are shops, a couple of pubs that do food, and the Wensleydale Creamery is there if you want to see cheese being made. The nearest pub is half a mile from the cottage.
You're right in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. You can walk straight out from the door. For a drive, Aysgarth Falls is about 20 minutes away. Hardraw Force, which is that waterfall you walk behind, is near Hawes.
What's here: A woodburning stove for when it's cold. TV and WiFi. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Parking for one car at the side. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one dog.
