Cartwheel Cottage is in Hawes, right in the middle of town. It's on a quiet corner where two lanes meet. You can park your car and not use it again if you don't want to.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. We've had it refurbished so it's clean and comfortable. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are open tread, not steep, but you can see through them so maybe watch the kids.
You can walk to everything. There’s a good butcher, a couple of shops, and a few pubs that do food. The Wensleydale Creamery is here too if you want to see the cheese being made.
Walking starts from the door. You can get to Hardraw Force, which is England's highest single-drop waterfall. The Pennine Way goes through here as well. For cyclists, a lot of the Tour de Yorkshire routes are on these roads.
Further out, the Yorkshire Dales National Park is all around you. The Yorkshire Three Peaks are about a 30 minute drive if you're up for that.
What's here: there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's space to store bikes. One parking space is on site.
No pets, sorry.
