Cartwheel Cottage
Cartwheel Cottage is in Hawes. It's right in the middle of town, on a quiet lane between the two main streets. You can park the car and not use it again if you don't want to.
It's a two bedroom stone cottage, sleeps three. One double, one single, one bathroom with a bath and a shower over it. It's got a 4 Star rating. The owners have done it up recently so it's fresh and clean inside. The living room and kitchen are open plan. There are beams. The stairs are open tread and a bit steep, like most cottage stairs.
You're a two minute walk from everything in Hawes. There's a good butcher, a deli, a grocer, and a few pubs that do food. The Wensleydale Creamery is here too, where they make the cheese.
For walks, you can start right from the door. Hardraw Force, which is the highest single-drop waterfall in England, is a good walk from here. The Pennine Way passes through. If you want a bigger challenge, the Yorkshire Three Peaks are about half an hour's drive away. The road cycling routes are popular too, we get a lot of cyclists.
Facilities: there's parking for one car on site, bedding and towels are included, WiFi, TV, washing machine. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's bike storage. No pets, I'm afraid.
