Watersedge

This is Watersedge. It’s in Gayle, about a ten minute walk from Hawes in Wensleydale. It’s a mid-terrace cottage.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One king size bed, two singles. It’s a 4 Star rating, so everything’s there and it’s comfortable, but it’s not huge. The kitchen is compact but it has what you need.

The main thing is the view. It’s right next to Gayle Beck, where the lower waterfalls are. You can see and hear the water from the living room and the little terrace outside. It’s a proper Yorkshire Dales view.

There’s a wood burner for colder evenings. Parking for one car right outside. It has WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.

You’re on the edge of Gayle, so it's quiet, but Hawes is a short walk down the lane. There are shops, cafes, and a few pubs there. The Wensleydale Creamery is on the way, you can’t miss it.

Walking is straightforward. The Pennine Way runs close by. Aysgarth Falls isn’t far by car. Bolton Castle and the Forbidden Corner are about a 20 minute drive. Lake Semerwater is nearby too, if you fancy a picnic or some fishing.

It can be booked with the cottage next door, Dale View, if you’re a larger group.
