Gardenwell Cottage is in Burtersett. It's a terraced cottage in a very quiet village up in the Dales. The road's a dead end so there's hardly any traffic. You can see right down Wensleydale from the front windows.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been restored, so there are some original features like the fireplace, but everything works and it's comfortable. It's open plan downstairs.
There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine and WiFi.
The main thing here is the walking. The Pennine Way passes right by the village, so you can start from the door. Hawes is about a twenty minute walk across the fields. That's where the shops are, and the Wensleydale Creamery.
You're in the Yorkshire Dales National Park here. Hardraw Force waterfall is a short drive away, and Aysgarth Falls. Semerwater lake and Bolton Castle are within half an hour. For a longer day out, you could drive over to Ingleton or up to Swaledale.
There's a pub about a mile and a half away in Hawes. The nearest shop is there too.
No pets, sorry. There's parking for one car right outside.
