The Coach House is my place in Holt. It’s a one-bedroom flat that sleeps two, perfect for a couple. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's all on one floor, open plan.
You’re on the edge of the town, so it’s quiet, but you can walk into Holt in about ten minutes. All the shops, cafes and pubs are there. The building used to be a coach house, so the rooms are a good size with high ceilings.
You can bring one dog. There's parking right outside, and an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
For facilities, it’s got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a highchair and a travel cot in the cupboard if you need them.
Holt is a nice Georgian town to wander around. From here, you’re about seven miles from the coast. Blakeney is six miles away, where you can get boat trips out to see the seals. Wells-next-the-Sea, with its beach and pine woods, is about twenty minutes by car. Sheringham and Cromer are along the coast too.
If you like walking, Holt Lowes is right on the doorstep for heathland walks. The North Norfolk coastal path is easy to get to. For a day out, the National Trust properties are good. Blickling Hall and Sheringham Park are both within half an hour. Holkham Hall is close to the beach. Norwich is about forty minutes drive if you want city shopping or the castle museum.
That’s pretty much it. It’s a straightforward, comfortable base for seeing North Norfolk.
