Bell House is a big old house on the edge of Swanton Novers village in Norfolk. It sleeps twelve people in six bedrooms. There are three bathrooms.
The place used to be an inn, and it’s a bit like a manor house. There’s a large sitting room and a separate, smaller snug with the TV. The dining room is good for big groups. You’ll see some unusual metal elephant heads on the wall in the main room.
Outside there’s a private garden with a large hot tub. The grounds are about two and a half acres, with an orchard and a wildflower area. There’s croquet and boules equipment.
It’s got a 4 Star rating. The owners used to live here, so it’s comfortable and well set up rather than being a show home. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher.
You can bring up to two dogs.
There is a second property on the grounds called The Stables. It sleeps four people in two en-suite bedrooms. If you book both together, you can have sixteen people in total.
For things to do, the north Norfolk coast is about half an hour’s drive. Holt is a market town about eight miles away. Norwich is roughly half an hour south. The Broads are also within half an hour.
