Betty's House is in Great Ryburgh on the edge of the Wensum Valley. It was built for Betty, who was a relative of the owners. We've done it up since to let it out. It's detached and sits away from the main road, looking out over our fields towards the river.
It sleeps four in two double bedrooms. One bathroom with a good shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well equipped. Everything's on one level except for the bedrooms, which are upstairs. The stairs are fine, just a normal flight.
The kitchen has what you need, including a coffee machine. The living room has French doors out to the patio. There's an electric vehicle charger on the drive.
You're about twenty minutes from the north Norfolk coast. Wells-next-the-Sea is the closest for the beach and the harbour. Holkham, Blakeney and Cley are all along that stretch. It's good for walking and birdwatching.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve is just down the road, less than five minutes by car. For a longer day out, the Norfolk Broads are about forty minutes drive. The National Trust has several properties and beaches in the area, like Blickling Hall and the beach at Brancaster.
Locally, there's a shop and a pub in the village. There's fishing on the Wensum. The market town of Fakenham is about four miles away for bigger shops.
Facilities include the EV charger, WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and parking for two cars. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ and a garden. No pets, sorry.
