Woodpecker Barn

Woodpecker Barn is one of four barns on a small site near Sculthorpe. It's next to two others, but they're separate. You have your own walled garden around the back.

It sleeps eight, which is useful for a big family or a couple of families together. There are four bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. That's the main thing people like about it.

It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. Everything's open-plan downstairs, with a wood burner. The stairs are fine, typical for a barn conversion. There's an on-site games room and a function hall you can book if you need the space, but you have to sort that with me directly.

The village is quiet. There's a pub and a restaurant about half a mile away. The shop is a mile. For a bigger town, Fakenham is two miles. They've got a decent supermarket, a cinema, and a bowling alley.

The coast is about eight miles. Wells-next-the-Sea is the classic one, with a long sandy beach and those colourful beach huts. Brancaster beach is good too, less crowded, and there's a golf course there. If you like birdwatching, the North Norfolk coast is full of RSPB reserves. Holkham is just a bit further along.

Burnham Market is about seven miles. It's a smart village with nice shops and places to eat. Kings Lynn is roughly twenty minutes' drive if you need more shopping or want to see the historic centre.

For facilities, you've got the basics: parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed.

Useful links: Visit North Norfolk for the area, and RSPB reserves if you're planning any birdwatching trips.
