Meadow Cottage is in Helhoughton. It's a small, semi-detached cottage that dates back a fair few years. The walls are thick and the ceilings are low in places. It's got two bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom.
The garden is fully enclosed. It gets the sun in the afternoon. There's a wood burner in the sitting room. We leave wood for the first fire.
It's a four-star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's not huge, but it's fine for four people.
The village is quiet. There's a children's play area down the road. The nearest proper shop is in Fakenham, about three miles away. The local pub is The Crown, which is a ten-minute walk. They do food.
You're well placed for the north Norfolk coast. Wells-next-the-Sea is about a 20-minute drive. It's a nice harbour town with a good beach. Holkham beach and estate are a little further along. Sheringham and Cromer are also easy to get to, within half an hour.
If you like walking, the Peddars Way runs nearby. For birdwatching, RSPB Cley Marshes is about 25 minutes by car. Pensthorpe is a bit closer. The National Trust at Holkham is always popular.
For a day out, Houghton Hall is close by. Sandringham is about a 20-minute drive. The market town of Holt is worth a visit, about 15 minutes away.
Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome.
