The Manor House is in Syderstone. It's Norfolk countryside, about ten miles from the coast. It's a detached house, very big. Sleeps twelve, has eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well done and comfortable. Parts of it are old, from the 1800s or before, but it's been done up so it feels light and modern inside. There are still some old features, like butler bells in the dining room.
The garden is enclosed. There's a pizza oven out there and a BBQ. Plenty of parking on site.
Inside, there are a few open fires and a wood burner. The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and TVs. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to three dogs.
The stairs are normal house stairs, not too steep.
The nearest shop and a restaurant are about two miles away in the village. For the coast, Brancaster beach is the closest, about a 15 minute drive. It's good for walking any time of year. Wells-next-the-Sea is popular, with a nice quay and a narrow-gauge railway. Holkham beach is a bit further east, very wide and sandy. Heading west, Hunstanton is a traditional seaside town with a long beach, a small funfair, and a Sealife Centre.
If you like stately homes, there are a few nearby. Sandringham Estate is in the area. The National Trust has Peckover House in Wisbech, and Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall are both within about 45 minutes.
For birdwatching, the RSPB reserve at Titchwell Marsh is very close to Brancaster. The Norfolk Coast Path runs along much of the shoreline here.
